Hi there,
Is it stalling or not idling?

I was thinking of the idle solenoid: several people, myself included, had this issue at some point, and sometimes, after a service, things get probed and the spade connection behind the filter gets loosen.

My notes say 0.40 - 0.50 mm

I set mine to 0.45mm and it runs sweet...

the hatch isn't identical, but some of the stuff in the book may help you (mainly engine).

download the book, look to page 9-7...

.40 - .50mm is right. as it says somewhere, if points are a bit burnt looking, you may need to replace the condenser attached to the dizzy...

EDIT: seems like the link doesn't work. not sure if it's hosted somewhere else, or even on here somewhere :(
There is a very thin line between 'hardcore' and 'totally insane.'

If i don't have the choke out about 1mm, i find mine stalls, but that's because i don't have the carby quite set right for idle speed i think. Been too busy to have a play with it. I use the choke a tad to keep it running, i know, it's lazy, but too many other things more important to worry about.....

I have gone thru a few sets of points in the mighty boy, and i always gap them at 20 thou. Which is about half a mm iirc.

Speaking of these things, it's time to replace my condenser & rotor button on the boy when the next service is due, in about 1,000kms time.

Cheers
