Seats
I bought a set of Swift seats today after reading a post about someone who had fitted them. My MB rails are too short to bolt onto the swift seats and the swift rails are at 435mm centers and the MB ones are only 375mm between the rails. Has anyone fitted standard Swift seats i think that they were out of a 98 swift. my MB seats are falling apart and i need new seats.

I have installed Baleno seats in one of my boys, which are very similar to Swift GTI seats. You are right, it's not a straight fit. You either have to make adaptor plates or drill the seat frames to accommodate the MB rails which is what I have done (it looks a lot cleaner).
BTW. You may need to invert the seats, because my driver one was adjustable in height and moving the rails closer had to remain lifted (which was very uncomfortable as a driver seat).
Good luck

Thanks Hulk.
Im going to have another look at on my next day off. i was just like what the! today. i dont think that i can drill the base of the seat out to fit the rails as the base of the seat is not flat its concaved. i might have to weld a rail to the base of the seat to be able to do it.
Thanks again for your time.

Mine was concave as well, but ....anything is possible with a bit of creativity (from memory one of the 2 seats has the rails slightly off-centre to be able to fit them at the right width
