Awaken The Nerd Within

Hey All

Just got back from what was one of the best Star Wars films yet......besides the
Ewok courage caravan film

I was glad to be there at 3:30 and get a good place inside (movie started at 12:01) but if any one besides the ACT members has been to Woden the line started where your ticket gets ripped and then it went past BABA, past power house and then finished in the middle of the powerhouse staff parking lot. It was cold as well

But all in all it was quite fun and good old obi made an appearance ....

Did anyone else go to the midnight screening?

I wasn't that silly. :P

Will probably go and see it some time when there's less likely to be a cinema packed full of jedi fanboys. :snigger: I'm really looking forward to seeing the movie though.

Can't beat the classics. This was the best of episodes 1-3 but has nothing on 4-6. George didn't intend on making 1-3 when he first created star wars and it shows. Although i was impressed with the minimalisation of the "lame" aspects of 1 & 2. I enjoyed this movie alot especially the last half of the film. Was very good.

Hey

Yeah Dudley has a point the originals are good but the possible "remake" of 4 - 6 might be good

But if anyone has 4-6 on DVD you may have noticed that the Darth Vader from the original 4-6 has been removed (return of the Jedi at the end) and been replaced with Haden Christian the new dark lord.
Also Boba Fetts' voice has been changed to the Temuera Morrison (old Jango Fett & clone army)

The only bad thing in star wars 3 is all the badys died too fast.

There has been a rumour floating for years that the Star Wars Saga would involve a total of 9 movies, and that was always the way I understood it to be.

Evidently there has been denials of the possibility of episodes 7, 8 and 9 however several actors have apparently been contracted to episode 3 with a clause to act in another 3 movies.

Mark Hamill has also mentioned that George Lucas had asked him to make a cameo in Episode 9 way back when they were filming the original movies, so you never know.
I would be horribly surprised if there weren't another batch of Star Wars flicks around the corner.

George's original idea was 4-6. He wrote other books etc as information leading into these story's but were not intended for movies unlike 7-9. I rate the originals alot higher than these latest 3. The stories are far better and as a veiwer your not blasted every 2 seconds with super specail effects of mass destruction. I dont mind the first 3 as they are still good movies. If george re-makes 4,5 and 6 in the same mood as 1-3 they will be shit in my opinion.

i think most people will reject the remakes... if thats what happens.... you cant improve on a classic... and really... has there ever been any remakes that have been better than the originals??? i cant think of any.

Yeah

There haven’t been many good remakes. But what about the Italian job the new one is it a remake or what because it is nothing like the 1969 one.
