Unless I am mistaken "suffix" is correct in the present tense; "sufficed" would apply if Brayden was using the past tense.
So how would Josh spell "wierdo" bearing in mind it is a colloquialism of "wierd"?
"Suffice" is perfectly acceptable - it simply means to "be enough", and in the context I used it, means that what I was about to say would be sufficient to explain the story without explicit details.
I was willing to concede that I had spelt "wierdo" incorrectly, because I always mix up the "I" before "E" thing when I'm not paying attention.
