hey guys haydz here..... just wondering, i pulled the drivers seat out of my mb and found a computer under it..... i think it may be for the auto trans but not sure.... all it has on it is 'COMPUTER ASSY, ATM'
any held would be great...

So is the auto transmission computer. When mine started failing it did interesting things like shifting the transmission back into 1st gear at 80km/h. :doh:

when it fails could it lose reverse gear???????

No the computer only controls upshifting and downshifting between first and second gear. Reverse is purely mechanically controlled.
