hey fellow owners im having some problems with my car.
ahh I come home from work one night and in the morning i started the car and it ran for about 30 seconds and then it started to overfuel and stop running as it would. it seems to be fueling into the secondarys even tho its on idle ive taken the airfilter off to watch it and yep it filling up even after the car has stalled.

if there are any carby buffs out there with anything to help with im all yours

Rip the lid off of the carbie and make sure the float is actually floating. I had the same thing happen to me. Tha float got a crack in it and wouldn't seal off the needle and seat that fills the fuel bowl. You can either source a new/2nd hand float or atack the crack with some loctite 401 or 406, or use araldite. Just use a sharp edged knife to scrape/clean up the plastic befrore sticking up the crack.

When you do, have a look at what sort of float you have. The early types have a very brittle yellow type plastic float in them while the newer, more betterer floats were made out of a black type of abs style plastic. Old yella types shatter while the cool black ones are good. As they say in the movies "Once you've had Black, you never go back". 8)
