800 engine mounts

I recently replaced the 550 motor and box in my MB with a 800.I did not at that time fit the second top engine mount.It seemed to me after driving it for a while that when taking off the torque reaction made the takeoff a bit ordinary.I wonder if anyone else has had the same reaction.I have today fitted the second mount but as yet have not driven it and am interested in hearing other experiences.Yes I did modify the mount so the bonnet will close.

did u use the 550 font mount? under alternator.. when i put my 800 in i didnt use it and i had trouble lining 2 bolt holes up on the fire wall... so when i rebuilt it i used the 550 mount and it lined up prefect..

I used the engine mount from the 550 on the right side.The hole in the mount for the engine mount is about 30mm different on the 800 so you had the engine in cockeyed and thats why the top mount looked wrong.Brayden has a guide to changeing from 550 >800 where all is revealed.I have driven mine now with the second top mount and it is much better.
