hey all. long time no speak. i still got my boy its slowly getting done fingers crossed it will be painted by this weekend. i cant wait. but the biggest problem i have with it wont run properly.
it starts perfect when its cold but as soon as it warms up it will splutter and die. even after sittin in the sun all day it wont start. and if it does it wont run for long. even with a fair bit of throttle.
i got told it could be the coil. but when i went to fit a new one i saw that the coil had 3 small wires comin out of it. plus the big one to the dizzy.

does anybody know what the 3rd wire is for and how to hook up a normal 2 wire one. cause i cant find the 3 wire ones any where.

any help would be great.

check your distributor cap and rotor button. Had exactly the same problem on a different car. Changed them and it ran sweet....even idled properly after that.
