Is the lower control arm serviceable. i.e. can you replace the pin assembly that supports the hub? Mine are completely collapsed.

You can replace the ball joint if you want to cut/press it out of the control arm, but to be honest I just replace the whole arm.

Non-genuine shouldn't cost more than $55-60 per side.

Did I see recently that a comparison was made between the MB and Daewoo Matiz lower control arm? Perhaps a Daewoo item would be a bit cheaper, being that it is a 'modern' car and not a 'classic' like those dicks in the Suzuki spare parts department seem to think the MB is, and wont ever bother to check their computers for spare parts info..............ARGHH!!

Your shopping at a the wrong suzuki parts store if that happens to you! It's surprising what is still available new, tho as time drags on their stock of parts is getting less & less....

That's dealing with any Suzuki dealer. Mick from Suziworld on the other hand - he is a legend!

The reason Suzuki dealers are reluctant to search for MB parts is because the latest SGP catalogue system only covers vehicles as far back as JSE prefix VIN numbers. Anything older doesn't show up and means that they have to do some real legwork to find part numbers and check availability.

They have a new system now? I never have any trouble with the guys at suzuki footscray, they don't mind using the old system.

I have had a bit of a play with Repco's new parts system, found a fair few mighty boy & alto listings, very little stock in stores but the d/c carries a few service bits..... I've just started a job working @ Repco.

Cheers

Yes the new international SGP system was introduced a few years ago. It is almost completely global now, with the exception of the Japanese system which is stand-alone, given they have a fairly unique domestic market.
