My boy failed the mvr brake test when i went for rego the other day because of rear brake imbalance, seems the proportion valves to the rear brakes are seized so i cant even adjust. Anyone know of a replacement that i can use? I've tried a few places to get originals but no luck. The brake place said they could find something but to see if i could get any info first. So any help from you guys would be good.

The proportion valves are non-adjustable, and considering they're pretty much just a spring valve they shouldn't seize.

I had brake imbalance issues which turned out to be seized rear slave cylinders.

hmm well well i got new lines, new shoes, new master cylinder, new slaves(replaced twice) and machined the drums . The only thing not new in the system is the proportional valves and that seems to be the problem. Not sure what else i can do

Wouldn't be something stupid like air in the lines of one side but not the other? :?:

The left side valve was stuffed, the seal was gone and it was locked up. He is organizing a few new valves to see what will best fit, will let you know what we end up using. Thanks for the offer of the hatch ones but i think i might go with new ones, at least if they are new i shouldn't have to worry about them again.
