"chopped springs give you wings"
i think its got something to do with the surge protectors built into your amp, as your amp gets power when you turn the key to acc/on it gets normal power, then when u crank it to start the power all goes to the starter n whatnot, so your amp flicks itself into protected power, you can see it on your amp it should have 2 lights, one power and one protected power or something similar, and it makes all your speakers hooked up tp it jump kinda like a little thump.
oh and as to how to fix it im not sure but u could try:
turning down the gain on your amp so it doesnt get as much power, pain if its a dial on your amp and its under your seat, id wire in a gain control knob and mount it in the dash to the right of the keys, in those rectangular things that are there, or an external equaliser i think they have gain on em. or maybe just turn your system down all the way b4 u shut the car off so next time u start it it wont try and play straight away.
a power switch inbetween the remote wire that tells your amp when to turn on, mount in the same spot, looks trick and its fun to have normal speakers blaring and ppl look at u then u turn all your other gear on
i would suggest a rocket switch
as in turn amp off and turn it on once car is started. this worked for me.
other things, bigger shorter ground wire maybe might help, or maybe a cap in the power wire but im not sure about that as it geneally takes more then a second to crank a MB over.
hope something helps lol but i think my system always had it, i dont think its particularly damaging as amps are built with the surge protector, but then again... it cant be particularly good for it !!
